Just a few days ago this young member of the X-Men was grasping at straws in search of X-Men: Dark Phoenix related news and Olivia Munn thought it’d be funny to joke about her return as Psylocke in Fox’s follow-up to X-Men: Apocalypse. But today we just got #blessed with some big casting news! After almost two months of rumored reports that Jessica Chastain would be joining the cast as the Shi’ar Empire Queen Lilandra, she’s finally confirmed her involvement in the film.

Chastain took the Instagram to tease fans of her involvement in the film with a fun little tease at James McAvoy’s expense. She posted a picture of the two (seen above) with the caption “Hey @jamesmcavoyrealdeal you ready for me up in Montreal? Im gonna make you cry so hard 😈 #xmen“. Its lit! Although she didn’t outright confirm her character, from the sounds of the caption, it’s likely that she’ll be playing an antagonist in the movie. This news comes just shortly after learning about Summer Fontana being cast as a young Jean Grey in the upcoming blockbuster.

Chastain will be joining the veteran X-Men cast of James McAvoy, Michael FassbenderEvan Peters, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, Jennifer Lawrence and newcomer Lamar Johnson.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix hits theaters November 2, 2018!
