According to a report by Variety, Callum Turner, is in talks to play Newt Scamander’s brother, Theseus in the sequel to Fantastic Beasts.

The Harry Potter Wiki page describes Theseus as Newt’s older brother who worked as an Auror with the British Ministry of Magic.

Turner is a London native and has turned heads for his acting chops in films such as Green Room, Tramps and Assassin’s Creed.

Academy Award winner, Eddie Redmayne, will reprise his role as Newt – joining Johnny Depp as Grindelwald, Zoe Kravitz as Leta Lestrange and Jude Law as a young Dumbledore.

Author of the Harry Potter book series and Fantastic Beasts, J.K. Rowling will be back to do the screenplay for the sequel.

Not much is known about the next instalment of the series just yet, but it will focus more in-depth on the ‘complex relationship‘ between Newt and Leta, and will partly take place in Paris.
