Robert Butler III

My name is Robert Butler III. I was born and raised in the city of Compton, CA. I am a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, with a bachelor's degree in Cinema and Media Studies. My love for cinema bloomed early in my life, and quickly became an aspiration to pursue feature-length narrative directing. I’ve worked as an editor and a camera operator/DP for popular YouTube channels such as Schmoes Know, Collider Video, Anthony Padilla, and more; as well as produced and directed many original shorts. My ultimate goal is to blend my passion of movie making and film criticism to fully dedicate my livelihood to the celebration of cinema. Some of my inspirations are François Truffaut, Spike Lee, Kevin Smith, and Ava DuVernay.
