David Tennant Joins Michael B. Jordan Anime ‘gen:LOCK’
Fans of the entertainment company Rooster Teeth are going to be in for a real treat when their new anime style show gen: LOCK debuts next January. The company behind the popular series RWBY is taking a second dive into the anime genre, but this time with Michael B. Jordan at the forefront. I really do not need to introduce Jordan at this point because almost everyone is still shaken by his performances in Black Panther and Creed. Besides voicing the main character- Jordan will also co-produce with Outlier Productions.
In a world engaged in war, a group of rebel pilots resort to using mechas to shift the tide. Thanks to an official announcement from Rooster Teeth and Inverse, we now the next addition to the stellar voice cast already featuring Dakota Fanning and Cowboy Bebop‘s Koichi Yamadera. Jordan and his crew have found the doctor responsible for creating the “gen:LOCK” mecha technology, the outstanding David Tennant.

Tennant is well known for many diverse roles. He is many favorite rendition of the doctor from Doctor Who. Many also see him as one of the best Marvel villains from his role in Netflix’s Jessica Jones. He is also no stranger to voice work for he has lent his talents to shows like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Dr. Rufus Weller, aka Doc, will be the madman seen in gen:LOCK creating mechas. Tennant creating mechas sounds like it is going to be too fun for our own good.
One can catch the show streaming on Rooster Teeth’s subscription program FIRST starting in January 2019. How excited are you to hear Jordan and Tennant talking all kinds of mecha nonsense? Let us know on our social media and stay tuned for all updates on gen:LOCK!
