Comic book publisher, Black Mask Studios, will be putting out a tie-in comic series for USA Network’s hit series, Mr. Robot. The comics will be a prequel written by showrunner Sam Esmail.
There is still more to learn, but what is known now is that Esmail will write the comic series with series writer Jeff McKibben and Black Mask founder, Matteo Pizzolo. Illustrator Antonio Fuso and colorist Tyler Boss will be creating the artwork.
More info may be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con. ‘Mr. Robot: Hacking Comics’ will take place Thursday at 1 pm PST in room 28DE of the San Diego Convention Center.
Black Mask is known for the progressive politics in their comics and Mr. Robot will certainly fit in with their books. The series is expected to be ready for the fall.
