Sophia Lillis Is Set To Star In Warner Bros.’ ‘Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase’

Mostly known for her breakout role as Beverly Marsh in It (2017), Sophia Lillis has been taped by Warner Bros as the lead character in their upcoming film Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase, an adaptation of the popular Nancy Drew book.

The Hidden Staircase, released in 1930 as the second volume in the Nancy Drew series, it’s a mystery about a haunted house and a missing landowner. This story has been adapted before, in 1939 by Warner Bros, with a second “reboot” at the character in 2007 with Emma Roberts as the lead.

The film is expected to be produced by Ellen DeGeneres, Jeff Kleeman (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.), and Chip Diggins (Equals), with Wendy Williams acting as executive producer. However, there’s no word on director and writer as of yet.
