After the renewal of Stranger Things for a third season, director and producer, Shawn Levy, has given fans an idea of what to expect in the upcoming season.

According to Comicbook.com, Levy has stated that Will Byers will finally have a break. Levy states in an interview with Glamour, “We’re not going to put Will through hell for a third season in a row. He’ll be dealing with stuff, but he won’t be at rock bottom the way we forced the amazing Noah Schnapp to play.”

This implies that the gang will be dealing with a new creeping evil in Hawkins. However, some fans have theorized that Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) or Chief Hopper (David Harbour) may face the consequences of being sprayed with an unknown mist in the tunnels during season two. Levy shut these fan theories down.

“You might assume that,” he admitted. “But you would probably end up being wrong. We’re [going to be] dealing with forces of evil that are new.”

While Levy didn’t reveal what these “forces of evil” are it’s clear he is trying to build up hype for the upcoming season.

In the mean time catch Stranger Things season one and two on Netflix today!
