Rising from the dead is a pretty difficult task but Ms. Jean Grey is not your average woman. That’s right, X-Men fans. Not only will Phoenix be rising from her grave, but she will be coming back as the leader of the iconic Marvel team.
From the creative minds of Tom Taylor, Mahmud Asrar, and Travis Charest, a new upcoming comic series titled X-men Red, has Grey as the leader of team with the other members being fully aware of her internal struggles with the Phoenix Force and still choosing to stand behind her, a stark change to what we’re used to where her powers are seen as a possible threat to the cohesion of the team.
Besides the costume and name reveal, details about the comic are still being kept under wraps, but there’s sure to be more announcements-such as exactly who will be making up the rest of the X-Men team-the closer we get to its release.
