Michael Rosenbaum Joins ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ as Key Role to the MCU

Highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will hit theaters very soon, and director James Gunn gave new info on the film in an interview on the Adam Carolla Show. In said interview, Gunn stated that certain “very important” characters in the Marvel Universe will be revealed in Vol. 2, and Sylvester Stallone and Michael Rosenbaum are two of said characters.

James did not give any names for either of the characters, but he did say that friend, Michael Rosenbaum, will have a pretty decent size role in the movie. James also stated that Rosenbaum and Stallone will be working in a tandem of sorts, so their “important to the Marvel Universe” roles are more-than-likely two linked characters. Let the fan theories start rolling!

Comic book entertainment fans may already be familiar with Michael Rosenbaum, as he’s held some important roles in the sub-genre media before. In Superman prequel series Smallville, Michael played the iconic Lex Luthor, and was a series regular as a friend-turned-foe to Clark Kent. For Justice League and Justice League Unlimited fans, you may recognize Rosenbaum’s voice as Wally West, the Flash for both series. Rosenbaum is definitely a fan of comic books and there’s a chance his role will extend past Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and maybe seep into Avengers: Infinity War? Let us know what you guys think about Michael’s involvement with the MCU in the comments below!
