Principal photography has begun on Phil Lord & Chris Miller’s untitled Han Solo Star Wars film. The shoot began February 20th at Pinewood Studies in London. Via the Star Wars site it is confirmed that Thandie Newton is in the cast, alongside Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca.

“Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole purpose of making art, is nothing short of miraculous,” Lord and Miller said. “We can’t think of anything funny to say, because we just feel really moved, and really lucky.”

The cast and crew are set to bring us another excellent instalment to the Star Wars universe. Lord and Miller who had previously done the 21 Jump Street movies and the Lego Movie are an extremely creative duo and have proven their ability to successfully blend comedy and action. This Han Solo film will definitely stand out with this comedic talent on board and it is certainly going to be an action packed and hilarious ride.

The untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story will be released May 25, 2018.
