Okay, so obviously Avengers: Infinity War is going to have a large cast. Possibly every member of the MCU so far, and we’re totally okay with that. There’s also a large chance that a lot of the heroes in the MCU don’t make the cut. We’ll worry about that later though, because another member of the Guardians of The Galaxy has been confirmed for the movie.

While speaking with Zoe Saldana – the actress who plays Gamora – last night on the Golden Globes red carpet, MTV News asked her whether or not she’s going to be apart of Infinity War:

” [Nods] I don’t know when they’re gonna let me read it. I mean, I’m not looking forward to the five hours of green make-up, but every time I finally arrive on set I feel so happy and lucky to be there.”

While she hasn’t read the script, knowing that Saldana’s character will be in the movie is a relief. She’s an essential part to the Guardians, and plus she’s one of Thanos’ daughters, so it’d be awkward if she wasn’t there to help stop him. This also lets us know that Gamora will survive whatever happens in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2. As to just how involved her character will be, well maybe once she reads the script, she can let us know.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5th, 2017; Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4th, 2018.
