The new season of The Boys is now streaming on Prime Video. With this comes the intro to new characters, including Sister Sage, perfectly portrayed by Susan Heyward.

I had the opportunity to chat with Heyward about her new character in the series, trying on the suit for the first time, reuniting with Valorie Curry (who plays Firecracker), her favourite moment to shoot and much more.

Check out the full interview with Susan Heyward below:

A defining moment for all superheroes is putting on their iconic suit for the the first time.

Heyward said, “Well, there were a lot of first times. The costume team did a deep dive. And it was a huge process of building the costume piece by piece. So I put on draft after draft after draft with different materials, different cuts, different different designs. So the first time that I put on finished suits was a really, really amazing moment for me.”

As a new character to the series, Heyward was glad to reunite with former co-star, Valorie Curry, who also joins the cast this season as Firecracker.

Heyward shared, “Valorie is an incredible actress. I got to work with her years ago on The Following. It was great to meet up with her again on this set.”

As a new character to the series, Heyward is aware that her character’s addition to the series and the character’s reception is important for people.

In reference to what she would like audiences to get from or take from her character, Heyward said, “Take whatever you need- whether it’s permission to say the thing that normally you would keep inside, or if it’s encouragement to feel less pressure to organise other people…”

The first three episodes of Season 4 of The Boys are now streaming on Prime Video.
