If you’re a major studio looking to reboot a franchise, your first call should always be Robert Downey Jr.

The producers of The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle agree with this, and have gotten the Avengers star to sign on for a new version of the story about a doctor who can talk to animals.

Previous incarnations have included Rex Harrison in the 1967 musical and Eddie Murphy in 1998’s Dr. Dolittle, which surprisingly led to three sequels.

Stephen Gaghan, who previously directed Syriana and wrote Traffic, will make his debut in the family film genre.

Downey will once again suit up as Tony Stark/Iron Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming. In the latest MCU installment, Stark mentors teenager Peter Parker/Spider-Man in his new adventures as a superhero.

He is currently filming Avengers: Infinity War, then will presumably begin work on Sherlock Holmes 3 at some point.

Spider-Man: Homecoming flies into theaters July 7.
