The final trailer for Thunderbolts*has been launched by Disney.
The highly-anticipated summer blockbuster will mark the return of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the big screen after the release of this year’s Captain America: Brave New World. a courageous team of infamous vigilantes will come together to protect the planet from a major threat. Now that the MCU doesn’t have a established version of the Avengers, the citizens of Earth could use all the help they can get.
The new trailer for Thunderbolts* hints at Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) being the lead of this narrative. The young woman who was introduced in Black Widow is ready to steal the spotlight in the project directed by Jake Schreier.
Thunderbolts* will also feature the return of several characters who were introduced in other MCU titles. The Red Guardian (David Harbour), Bucky (Sebastian Stan), the U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) will do everything in their power to keep Sentry (Lewis Pullman) from destroying everything in his way. The group will need to step up their game. The Avengers aren’t here anymore. The MCU needs more heroes now, more than ever before.
After Marvel Studios shares Thunderbolts* with audiences this summer, the studio will move on towards the development of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. The massive crossover events will be directed by the Russo brothers. Most of the characters from Thunderbolts* have been confirmed to be back in the movie that will feature Robert Downey Jr. becoming the evil Doctor Doom.
Thunderbolts* will focus on how this adventure will change the team by the time they face the most powerful antagonist the franchise has ever seen. In the meantime, viewers will get to witness merely the second MCU movie Disney will launch into theaters this year.
