The highly anticipated second part of Zack Snyder’s epic space opera, Rebel Moon, is now streaming on Netflix.
Leading up to the release of Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, I had the opportunity to speak with actors Ed Skrein and Fra Fee about the film. The duo told me about repeatedly playing villains and what it was like working on fight scenes throughout filming both parts of the Rebel Moon.

Both Skrein and Fee are no strangers to playing the role of the villain. But with each portrayal, the actors bring something different and more menacing to the screen.
Regarding playing villains, Fee said, “Yeah, both of us have played villains previously. I’m starting to worry that it’s becoming a bit of a thing. I just played a really, really bad bastard, literally in King Lear. I don’t really know what I’m giving off. But inevitably, I’m drawn to the characters because they’re fun, because they’re so far removed from me, I like to think.”
Skrein jumped in with enthusiasm about his character Noble and said, “Yeah, no, I mean, like, when I read the script, I was like, this Noble character is just the most fun and I was like, ‘Wow, like, what an incredible proposition.’ And I had a hoot. I had such a – I was having such a fun time, you know? In usually the most gruesome moments, actually. In the extended cuts, you’re gonna see some crazy stuff, even in part one that like, you haven’t seen anything of like whole sections – scenes that just, were never going to be able to be seen by 13-year-olds. And yeah, I had so much fun playing Noble, for sure.”
Of course, a huge element of a sci-fi/action film are the battle sequences and stunts. Skrein, has a partcularly great sequence in the film’s final battle with Sofia Boutella‘s character, Kora.
Skrein had nothing but praise for the scene and the stunt doubles he worked with during filming. He said, “It was awesome, man. You know, like rehearsing for that with Sofia’s stunt double Mel. She’s just the most awesome, awesome lady. And it was so fun doing the beautiful violent dance with her and prepping. And shoutout Spider, my stunt double who’s just the most incredible stunt guy, and you know, my brother, who I love and miss dearly now. So, it was amazing.”
