At CinemaCon 2025, Lionsgate absolutely killed it with their presentation.

After Sony kicked things off with an impressive showcase opening night, the energy at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas was high, and Lionsgate did not disappoint.

Lionsgate brought a stacked lineup with updates and footage for Ballerina, John Wick: Chapter 5, Donnie Yen’s John Wick spin-off featuring his character Caine, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, the upcoming MichaelJackson biopic, and the official title treament for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. In addition, there was news about Hurry Up Tomorrow, Power Ballad, and the adaptation of Stephen King’s The Long Walk.

To wrap up Lionsgate’s CinemaCon 2025 showcase in true Vegas fashion, The Weeknd took to the stage to close out the night. The global superstar performed a short set for the packed crowd, including the debut of a song from the upcoming film Hurry Up Tomorrow—followed by an electrifying performance of his smash hit “Blinding Lights.” It was a mic-drop moment (literally) that perfectly capped a presentation filled with action, magic, and major star power.

You can find the news, highlights, and footage breakdowns from the Lionsgate presentation below.

CinemaCon 2025 – Lionsgate Highlights

Hurry Up Tomorrow (May 16, 2025) – Starring The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye), Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan. Directed by Trey Edward Shults, this trippy, surreal romance got major buzz.

Ballerina (June 6, 2025) – Ana de Armas leads this slick spin-off, and the exclusive footage goes hard as hell. Brutal fights, killer choreography, and Keanu’s John Wick serving as a formidable antagonist. The crowd went wild at some of the scenes.

The Long Walk (September 12, 2025) – From Stephen King’s first story ever written, kids are forced to walk until one remains. The trailer featured a coming-of-age horror with brutal stakes. Mark Hamill lends his voice to this dark psychological tale.

Michael (October 3, 2025) – Antoine Fuqua directs Jaafar Jackson in the Michael Jackson biopic. The cast is stacked: Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Miles Teller, and more. There’s no footage yet, but anticipation is building.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t (November 14, 2025) – The first trailer was shown and the original Four Horsemen return alongside new illusionists (Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa)! Jesse Eisenberg’s character recruits the newbies to pull off a diamond heist, only to run into his old crew mid-job. Rosamund Pike plays the sleek villain. The trailer boasted the same wild energy as the previous films, but with upgraded tricks and budget!

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (November 20, 2026) – Haymitch Abernathy’s origin story is coming to the big screen! Based on Suzanne Collins’ latest book, Francis Lawrence is returning to direct.

Animated John Wick Movie – A prequel anime-style film following John’s “Impossible Task.” Keanu Reeves returns to voice Wick. Shannon Tindle (Ultraman: Rising) directs with a script from Vanessa Taylor (The Shape of Water). Style meets lore — anime fans, WE eating good.

Caine – Donnie Yen will direct and star in this John Wick spin-off set after Chapter 4. Yen will bring the Hong Kong action energy to the franchise, serving as executive producer and director. Mattson Tomlin (The Batman – Part II) is writing the screenplay.

Good Fortune – Aziz Ansari’s directorial debut co-stars Seth Rogen and Keanu Reeves as an angel (yes, really). It looks like a body-swapping comedy with surprising heart. Every time Reeves was on screen, he stole the scene with his dry humor.

John Wick: Chapter 5 – It’s official! Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski are back. Lionsgate teased a story that’s “truly phenomenal and fresh.” There is no release date yet, but the hype is real.

Now You See Me 4 – Confirmed! Ruben Fleischer isn’t done — he’ll return to direct a fourth film in the Now You See Me franchise.

Power Ballad – Paul Rudd vs. Nick Jonas in a battle of the bands legal drama with Jonas stealing Rudd’s song. Havana Rose and Jack Reynor round out the cast. Directed by John Carney (Sing Street), this one’s got sleeper hit written all over it.

CinemaCon isn’t open to the public, so unless you’re in the room, you won’t see these trailers just yet — but don’t worry, we got you covered.

Let us know which film you’re most hyped for — because honestly, the rest of 2025 and 2026 seem stacked.
