Scooby-Do and the gang are back! In the first full-length animated Scooby-Doo adventure for the big screen, SCOOB! tells the never-before told story of Scooby-Doo’s origins and puts them on the greatest mystery in the career of Mystery Inc.

SCOOB! was originally slated to hit theaters this Friday but due to the current pandemic, Warner Bros. decided to allow fans to buy it on VOD instead! To celebrate the movies release I had the chance to sit down for a virtual chat with Kiersey Clemons who voices Dee Dee Sykes in the film.

During our conversation she spoke about what it was like joining such an iconic franchise, the difference between voicing a character on a tv series rather than a movie and her upcoming role on Amazon’s Prime’s animated comedy Fairfax, centered around Los Angeles’ Fairfax Avenue. She also gave us a brief update about The Flash.

Check out the interview below:

One of the things I really liked about SCOOB! is that it kind of wove in a superhero element throughout it. One of the things I wanted to just talk about specifically with you because you’ve got a lot of things under your belt now, have you got to speak to Andy about the upcoming Flash because I know you are supposed to be Iris and we’re still excited for another Black Iris. I know it’s down the road but we’re still pumped to see you!

Kiersey Clemons: We’re still in a long process of pre development and I just did a movie with Ezra last year that him and I put out together. And so with The Flash, it’s kind of just a matter of seeing where everything goes and how everyone’s schedule lines up. And it’s a work in progress, right. But I know that everyone is so curious for information, it’s just not my information to give out unfortunately.

I completely understand I just wanted to say thank you so much for talking with us. We loved you in the movie, and I can’t wait to see your other upcoming projects and you know, we’re gonna be there support them!

Clemons: Thank you so much!
