21 Laps will produce a live-action adaptation of Katie Khan’s novel, Hold Back The Stars. Letitia Wright (Black Panther) and John Boyega (The Last Jedi) are currently attached to star.

Mike Cahill (I Origins, Nightflyers) is set to direct from Christy Hall’s script. The epic sci-fi romance is currently being packaged by WME for distribution deals and is expected to sell quickly.

The book revolves around a man and a woman who revisit memories of their love affair on a utopian Earth while they are trapped in the vast void of space with only ninety minutes of oxygen left.

Wright was recently Emmy-nominated for her performance in Black Mirror and is expected to reprise her iconic role of Shuri in Avengers 4. Boyega is currently filming his potentially final outing as Finn in Star Wars Episode IX.

Wright and Boyega are two rising stars poised to dominate Hollywood, quickly becoming household names. Hold Back The Stars is another step toward solidifying their stardom.
