Shazam‘s cast just keeps getting bigger and bigger as days go by, and with production going well in Toronto, more is revealed about what we’ll see on the big screen.

The most recent addition to this ensemble is none other than Faithe Herman, better known for her work as Annie Pearson in the popular show This Is Us, as she revealed through her Twitter account that she’ll be playing Darla Dudley.

Darla is a young girl part of Billy’s group home palls who alongside all of her friend transforms into mystical superheroes, known as “The Marvel Family”.

Faithe will be joining Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Jack Grazer (IT) as Freddy Freeman, Ian Chen as Eugene Choi, Jovan Armand as Pedro Peña, Grace Fulton as Mary Marvel and Zachary Levi as Captain Marvel.

Directed by David F. Sandberg and written by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke, Shazam will be DC’s next film after Aquaman, telling the story of a young boy, Billy Batson, who can transform into an adult superhero by uttering the magic word “Shazam!”, an acronym of the names Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury, from which Billy derives his abilities in his adult form.
