It’s been known that HBO is working on a TV adaptation of one of the most well-known comic book series out there –Watchmen– developed by Damon Lindelof (Lost, The Leftovers) with scripts for the series already in the works.

Although we don’t have any information regarding casting calls or announcements, so far we know that, reportedly, the series pilot is set to start production in March, and that Nicole Kassell will be joining Lindelof by directing and executive producing the pilot of the show.

Kassell is known for her work in episodes of The Leftovers –season 2 No Room at the Inn and season 3 It’s A Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt World-Westworld, Vinyl, The Americans, Better Call Saul, Rectify and American Crime and in her feature film, The Woodsman, premiered in competition at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival.

This will also mark Nicole’s second time directing a pilot episode of high calibre as her first pilot was TNT’s Claws, one of the highest-profile premium pilot assignments for a female director.
