The Dark Knight will have special screenings on The East Coast through Showcase Cinemas as a celebration of its 10th anniversary.

2018 marks the 10 year anniversary of The Dark Knight, one of the most successful and acclaimed film -it crossed the $1 billion mark globally and earned Heath Ledger a posthumous Oscar for Best Supporting Actor- about a superhero ever made. Directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Christian Bale as -spoiler alert- billionaire Bruce Wayne/Batman and Heath Ledger as The Joker, Batman greatest nemesis.

To celebrate such moment, Showcase Cinemas, a small theatre chain located in the East Coast -New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut-, will be showing the film during the second weekend of February, from Thursday, 8th to Sunday, 11th.

The film’s anniversary is not until July 18, 2018 -the exact day the film premiered back in 2008- so it won’t be surprising that, if Showcase Cinemas decision proves to be successful, more parts of the US will have its own screenings.

If you live on the East Coast and want to go to one of the screening, here is the link where you can buy your tickets.
