Greg Weisman, writer and co-creator, of Young Justice announced today on his twitter that Young Justice will be returning in the “fourth quarter [of] 2018.” The series return has been backed by thousands of very outspoken fans who have created numerous petitions and facebook groups begging Warner Brothers, DC, and Cartoon Network to bring back the show.

Other reports have shown that the third season will have 26 episodes along with new characters and new costumes. The third season dubbed Young Justice: Outsiders features a story about “meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.”

According to DC the show will be released on their new streaming service allowing creators more creative control and allow adult themes to be explored.
