But it is beng reported that he is coming out of retirement to produce a new film for Studio Ghibli.
Toshio Suzuki, a producer at Studio Ghibli, gave a few details about Miyazaki’s new project in a letter he wrote to MovieNatalie (via Anime News Network) and described the film as an Action/Adventure/Fantasy. Suzuki also explained that he undertstood why Miyazaki came out of retirement which was inspired by the birth of his grandson and wanting to leave a legacy behind that he could be proud of.
The film will be titled Kimi-Tachi wa Dō Ikiru Ka (How Do You Live?). It is based on a book written in 1937 by Genzaburō Yoshino about a man named Koperu and his uncle, and through Koperu’s journey to spiritual growth, they learn how to live as human beings.
