Wolverine to be in Marvel Comics ‘Post-Credits Scenes’

It’s common knowledge that death is never permanent in comic books. That idea will once again be proven true when Wolverine returns to Marvel Comics in January.

Logan will appear in a series of “post-credits scenes” at the end of certain stories. His comeback begins with Captain America #697, The Mighty Thor #703, and Amazing Spider-Man #794.

The famous mutant previously returned in Marvel Legacy #1, where he had an Infinity Stone.

“Fans have been speculating about Wolverine’s whereabouts since he first reappeared in Marvel Legacy #1—and the Marvel Universe is left just as unaware!” teased SVP and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort said in a statement. “So keep your eyes peeled as Canada’s favorite citizen makes his presence felt in titles all across the Marvel line! It’s all leading to something—but what?”

The scenes will explain the secret of why he came back and why he needs an Infinity Stone.

“Mystery has always been part of Wolverine’s DNA,” added senior editor Mark Paniccia. “He’s one of Marvel’s most interesting and popular characters. Fans are going to have a helluva ride finding out where he’s been and how he came back.”

Wolverine’s return is part of a larger story that will, as usual, involve the entire Marvel universe.
