A remake of The Crow has been stuck in Hollywood development Hell for years.

When the project switched studios from Relativity to Sony, there was some question about whether director Colin Hardy and star Jason Momoa would still be involved.

Recently, Hardy said he was directing the movie, and now star Jason Momoa has confirmed he will star in the film.

Momoa posted fan art of Eric Draven’s famous makeup on his Instagram page with the caption “I’ve been waiting for sooooo long. @corinhardy let’s do this brother aloha j.”

The Crow is the story of Eric Draven, a man brought back from the dead by a crow, so he can get revenge on the people who killed him and his girlfriend.

The comic previously appeared on screen in 1994’s The Crow starring Brandon Lee. Over the years the movie has become a cult hit. It also spanned a series of straight to DVD sequels.

The Crow Reborn is said to be a more straight-forward adaptation of the comic. It currently doesn’t have a release date.

Momoa’s schedule has become increasingly busy since he became the DC Extended Universe’s Arthur Curry/Aquaman.

He can next be seen in Justice League Nov. 17, then Aquaman splashes into theaters December 21, 2018.
