As long as there’s comic books, there will be a Marvel vs DC debate among fans. Well that argument was shook up with the announcement that longtime Marvel writer Brian Michael Bendis has signed an exclusive deal with DC.

DC confirmed the news on its official Twitter account, with Bendis retweeting and saying “This is real. I love you all. Change is good. Change is healthy. I am bursting with ideas and inspirations. Details to come! Stay tuned!”

Make no mistake, this is a huge deal.

Bendis is the co-creator of Miles Morales, Riri Williams and Jessica Jones. In his 18 years with Marvel he has worked on titles like Ultimate Spider-Man, Daredevil and Secret Invasion.

There is no news on when his deal with DC begins, but presumably it won’t be until he finishes his current work on Defenders, Invincible Iron Man, Jessica Jones and Spider-Man.

So what DC titles or characters would you like to see Bendis write?
