It looks like the King of Wakanda is expanding his Kingdom. His Lego kingdom to be precise. Fans have long awaited for Black Panther to have a prominent presence in pop culture and in the wave of comicbook based films that are dominating the box office. The takeover begun with Captain America: Civil War and will continue in 2018’s Black Panther. But it looks like we are going to be getting another Black Panther solo film.

While at New York Comic Con this past week, Marvel Animation announced that it was teaming up with Lego to produce a solo Black Panther animated lego film entitled Black Panther: Trouble In Wakanda.

Marvel Animation already released their first animated Lego movie based on Marvel characters called Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Maximum Overload. However, that was more of an ensemble project but this film will be solely based on King T’Challa and the fictional nation of Wakanda.

No release date has been confirmed and it is unclear if the film will have a theatrical release or go straight to streaming and DVD. We will keep you up to date as more news unfolds. Are you excited for a Lego Black Panther film? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
