Season 4 of Bojack Horseman is officially here and once again doing what it does best of providing what at first appears to be almost absurd comedy before hitting the viewers with emotional revelations that they themselves might not have even been ready to fully deal with.

If you have no idea what Bojack Horseman even is, the show premiered back in 2014 and the official synopsis on IMDb says, “Meet the most beloved sitcom horse of the ’90s – 20 years later. BoJack Horseman was the star of the hit TV show “Horsin’ Around,” but today he’s washed up, living in Hollywood, complaining about everything, and wearing colorful sweaters.” The show has done well critically, with seasons 2-4 garnering 100% ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.

The standard voice cast includes Will Arnet, Allison Brie, Amy Sedaris and Aaron Paul as four of the central roles but the current season has brought us many characters whose voice actors happen to be people of color: Kimiko Glenn, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Aparna Nancherla, Archie Panjabi, Andre Braugher, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Colman Domingo, Keith David, RuPaul Charles, Hannibal Buress and Rami Malek all lend their voices to the show and help to build the world that Bojack attempts to both isolate himself from while simultaneously attempting to stay sane in.
