After a messy launch of the legendary birds at Pokémon Go Fest, Niantic is launching the legendary beasts Entei, Suicune, and Raikou in Pokémon Go. Unlike the birds, the beasts are region-locked; Raikou is available in the Americas, Entei is available in Europe and Africa, and Suicune is available in Asia.

These legendaries will remain region-locked until September 30, when they’ll rotate through continents. They’ll rotate again on October 31st, meaning that players have just 3 months (1 per legendary) to get each Pokémon.

If you were hoping to find one in some tall grass, think again. Like most high-powered Pokémon nowadays, they’re only available through Raid Battles, meaning you’ll need to gather a group of any friends that are still playing Pokémon Go to have a chance at them.

In addition to Entei, Suicune, and Raikou, Niantic has also promised that Mewtwo will be available in a few weeks, in a new game mode called Exclusive Raid Battles. Exclusive Raids are only accessible to players who have recently completed Raid Battles, which means players will have to purchase two raid passes for the chance of finding Mewtwo when he’s released.

On the off chance that you are still playing Pokémon Go, do you think you’ll be able to catch all the new legendaries? Let us know in the comments if you find any – and how much you spent doing it.
