The still untitled Han Solo film has seen its share of turmoil since the beginning of its production. From the release of previous directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, to the more recent cut of actor Michael Kenneth Williams due to reshoots, the highly-anticipated origin story hasn’t appeared in the media with good news recently… until today.

Director Ron Howard shared a heartfelt tweet, praising Lando Calrissian actor Donald Glover on successfully completing his work on the film, mustache and all. If anything has stayed consistent, it’s Glover and his dedication to his role and the effort he’s given into unconditionally supporting the film through its rough patches.

Glover has also previously shared his praise for the new director in his Hollywood Reporter cover story, stating:

“Ron is such a legend, and he knows exactly what the vision for what he is doing is…”

With only a few more months to go until release, let’s hope that there are no more surprises waiting for us around the corner. When dealing with such an iconic character such as Han Solo, there is a certain level of precision expected that we all hope they’ll still be able to deliver.

How do you think the film will fare with all the media unrest surrounding it? Let us know!

The untitled Han Solo film is set to release May 25, 2018.
