In reaction to the death of stuntwoman Joi “SJ”Harris, production has been indefinitely shut down on Deadpool 2.

Harris was performing her first stunt of the film as Domino when the crash happened.

Anytime there’s a death on a film set, there are several investigations that must take place. British Columbia law enforcement, the coroner’s service and WorkSafeBC are all looking into the accident.

The film’s stars Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin posted their condolences to social media.

Harris death comes just a month after the death of a stuntman on the set of The Walking Dead.

These accidents are a reminder to viewers that the big action sequences in our favorite entertainment come with huge risks and its important to remember that.

Deadpool 2 is currently scheduled to open June 1, 2018, however, it’s not known at this point if a long production delay will change the opening date.
