Season one of Jessica Jones ended with Jessica snapping Kilgrave’s neck and killing him, after being tormented by him for most of the series. The villain was obsessed with her and try to bend her to his will, but ultimately, she grew immune to his powers.

Today, in an unexpected note, Entertainment Weekly has shared the first official photo of David Tennant (Kilgrave) in set of Jessica Jones s2 alongside with Krysten Ritter (Jessica), revealing he will appear in the upcoming season.

It is unsure what his role will be on the show, but since the showrunner has that Jessica has to deal with the ramifications of killing Kilgrave, is likely that his appearances will be flashbacks or due to PTSD, rather than him being a main antagonist once again.
