The Gifted, FOX new TV series, haves a new addition to its cast, actress Elena Satine (Twin Peaks) as Dreamer, a mutant capable of removing or implanting memories in people.

According to Screen Rant, this breaking news was announced by showrunner Matt Nix at the Television Critics Association, where Nix said that Dreamer is set to appear in the second episode, marking her live-action debut and talked certain characteristics of her powers.

One of the things about her character is that’s a really sexy power that isn’t a gigantic power. We aren’t blowing up a building with her … it doesn’t involve a six-week CG build.

But that’s not it, as he (Nix) also teased a romantic… not relationship but “connection” to Thunderbird (Blair Redford), a mutant with superhuman strength and a member of the show’s main cast. It seems like the series will explore a love triangle with Thunderbird and Dreamer, but there was no mention of who else the love triangle would involve.

Elena Satine has experience in the world of superheroes, since she’s appeared as Mera, Aquaman’s wife, in an episode of season 10 of Smallville and as Lorelai, an Asgardian  sorceress, back in season 1 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The Gifted is set to premiere on October 2.
