After the success of M. Night Shyamalan’s Split earlier this year in January, its sequel Glass has just received a release date. According to Samuel L. Jackson, who’s starring in the film, rehearsals are starting on September 18, and shooting starts on the 25th. Glass is set to release on January 18, 2019.

The final scene in Split revealed that it’s set in the same universe as Shyamalan’s 200 film Unbreakable, starring Jackson and Bruce Willis. The success of Split is supposedly helping to fast track Glass’ production.

In an interview after Split’s premiere, Shyalaman told Entertainment Weekly that he had a “robust outline” prepared for its sequel. As of now, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Sarah Paulson, James McAvoy, and Anya Taylor-Joy are confirmed roles for Glass.
