With the Arrowverse featuring two Vixen’s from separate generations on Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow, it’s no surprise that the family tree can get a little confusing.
Well things are about to get even crazier with the addition of Tracy Ifeachor as Kuasa in season three of Legends of Tomorrow.
Kuasa is Mari McCabe’s sister. Mari is Arrow’s Vixen, who is also featured in her own CW Seed animated series. This makes them both the Legends’ Vixen Amaya Jiwe’s granddaughters.
Kuasa previously appeared in the animated Vixen, where she was voiced by Anika Noni Rose. In that story, Kuasa wanted to steal the totem that gives Mari (and also Amaya) her powers. She ended up dying while fighting alongside Mari.
At Comic-Con executive producer Marc Guggenheim let it slip that Amaya and Kuasa would meet.
“We’re looking forward to the inevitable confrontation between Maisie’s character and her granddaughter,” he said.
At the end of Legends of Tomorrow season two, Amaya decided to delay returning to her time because of her feelings for Nate. With season three set to focus on how the Legends can fix the time, it will be interesting to see if Amaya’s decision and Kuasa’s appearance are related.
Starring Caity Lotz, Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Dominic Purcell, Arthur Darvill, Franz Drameh, Tala Ashe, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns to The CW with new episodes Tuesday, Oct. 10.
