San Diego Comic-Con Day 3 Recap #SDCC2017
Day 3 for San Diego Comic-Con International has come and gone in the blink of an eye, and while we wish this feeling could last a little longer, since it was a pretty amazing day, full of excitement for both Marvel and DC Comics, let’s have a quick recap of everything that went down today at Comic-Con.
For the DCEU we had plenty of news, so let’s begin with that:
- ‘Justice League Dark’ Among The Movies Warner Bros. Has Their DCEU Slate.
First, it was the announcement of their slate for the next couple of years. In here, Warner Bros. announced that the next films they are working on for the DCEU are The Flash: Flashpoint, Aquaman, Shazam!, Suicide Squad 2, The Batman, Justice League Dark, Batgirl, Green Lantern Corps and Wonder Woman 2. - Joss Whedon To Begin Working On ‘Batgirl’ In 2018.
During an interview with IGN at SDCC, Geoff Johns announced that Joss Whedon will start on that movie in 2018, but no date was specified. - Ben Affleck Debunks ‘Batman’ Recasting Rumours.
After months of rumours from different sources and reasons, Ben Affleck addressed at Hall H the fact that he’s going to still be Batman as long as the studio wants him to be. - New Footage and Panel Discussion for ‘Justice League’.
Today we got new footage for the upcoming DCEU film, Justice League. In the footage, we were able to see more about the cinematography of the movie, the tone and humour is going to manage while still knowing almost nothing about the plot.
After the trailer/footage was dropped, the cast answered some questions the audience had for them.
For Marvel, the excitement was just as high, and this is what they had for us:
- New Details Revealed On ‘Captain Marvel’ Film.
Before, there wasn’t a lot of information surrounding Captain Marvel, all we knew was that Brie Larson was set to play the character, but everything changed when Comic-Con attacked. There, Marvel revealed that the movie will be set in during the 1990s, with Nick Fury having both of his eyes and the Skrulls will serve as the film’s main villains. - Michelle Pfeiffer To Play Janet Van Dyne in Ant-Man & The Wasp.
Right after Ant-Man premiered, rumours about Janet Van Dyne began to flood the internet and while speculation was big, nothing was official. Now, Marvel has announced not only that the character in fact will be in the movie and will be played by no other than the amazing Michelle Pfeiffer. - ‘Ant-Man & The Wasp’ Roundup: Laurence Fishburne, New Characters and More.
Joining the cast of Ant Man & The Wasp are actors Laurence Fishburne, Randall Park, Walton Goggins and Hannah John-Kamen, alongside with a new logo for this upcoming movie. - New ‘Thor Ragnarok’ Trailer.
- New Footage for Infinity War and Black Panther.
Though sadly, those weren’t revealed to the public.
While the upcoming comic movies seem pretty epic, the small screen had also some surprises that are sure to leave us just as amazed as the movies… (or maybe not).
- ‘Riverdale’ Season 2 Trailer And Panel Details.
Madchen Amick, who plays Aice Cooper in the series, revealed that a new looming threat would be coming to the small yet danger-filled town. We expect some questions to be answered and more questions to be asked in this next season of Riverdale. - Comic-Accurate Scarecrow Confirmed For ‘Gotham’ Season Four.
Gotham is going full villain this season, and although we had official confirmation Scarecrow was going to appear on season 4, is still dope to look at him in this new exclusive trailer. - The Explosion’s Aftermath Teased in ‘Arrow’ Season 6 Trailer
After that amazing season 5 finale, Arrow has decided to give us a new trailer where not a lot is said, but just enough to want us to know more and hope this new season comes our way real fast. - ‘Smallville’ Star Tom Welling Returns To Tv In Season 3 Of ‘Lucifer’.
It’s been a while since Tom Welling (Clark Kent for those who grew up watching Smallville) appeared on a tv show, ever since Smallville finale, but that time has come to an end thanks to Lucifer. - Time Is Broken In ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Season 3 Trailer.
Trailers keep coming, and this next show from The CW was not the exception at Comic-Con, with this brand new trailer that promises more time wreck adventures. A little synopsis was also shared. - Adam Strange, Hawkgirl And More To Appear On The ‘Krypton’ Television Series.
Krypton has gotten so much more interesting than it was two hours ago, announcing more details about the plot of this new show along with some familiar faces and famous Superman villains. - Calista Flockhart Returning For ‘Supergirl’ Season 3 Premiere.
For those who watch Supergirl, you know there’s been a lack of a certain mentor for Kara Danvers, aka her boss Cat Grant. Her character and what she had to offer to Kara have been missed, so is good to know she’ll be returning as a recurring role in this show. - New Trailer for ‘Stranger Things’.
- New ‘Westworld’ Trailer.
- Star Trek: Discovery Releases New Trailer
