It was recently revealed that Disney was struggling with casting their leads for the live-action Aladdin movie which caused quite the uproar on social media, fans wanted to know why, and fancasts were everywhere. Well, it has been announced less than a week after that whole ordeal. Disney broke the news at their #D23Expo and their Twitter account tweeted it out immediately.

Naomi Scott (Power Rangers) has been cast as Jasmine whilst Mena Massoud will be her Aladdin. Will Smith has been confirmed for Genie. All three choices were heavily rumoured in my recent article.

Are you excited about these choices? Who did you want in the lead roles?
