Just because there are only 13 episodes of Game of Thrones left, it doesn’t mean fans will miss out on anything.

The Telegraph is reporting that the season seven premiere will have a runtime of 59 minutes. That’s the longest premiere episode since season one, which was 62 minutes.

Of course Game of Thrones frequently extends the runtime for special episodes like season six’s finale The Winds of Winter which was 69 minutes. Episodes with big battles can also be longer than usual.

Season seven will feature seven episodes and season eight will hopefully wrap everything up in its six episodes.

When we left off Dany was headed toward Westeros with her army, allies and dragons to reclaim the Iron Throne from Mad Queen Cersei. Meanwhile, new King in the North Jon Snow was trying to unite the northern houses and wildlings to prepare for the war against the white walkers.

So these final 13 episodes must solve the truth of Jon’s parentage (viewers and Bran know the truth, but no one else does), show our heroes defeating the white walkers, reunite the Starks and of course finally settle who sits on the Iron Throne.

Season seven of Game of Thrones premieres Sunday, July 16 at 9 pm ET on HBO.
