With Kingsman: The Golden Circle set to hit theaters this fall, director Matthew Vaughn is already thinking about Kingsman 3.
At a recent press event in London, Vaughn screened the first act of The Golden Circle, then discussed how he began working on the third film while writing the second.
“Weirdly while we were writing Kingsman 2, we were thinking of Kingsman 3 as well, which is odd,” said Vaughn. “We’ve got a big idea for that. This is sort of the bridge and if we can pull this off, we’ll make another one.”
While spoilers and plot details are embargoed, the reaction to the footage was overwhelmingly positive. So planning for a third Kingsman may not be a bad idea.
The new film features Eggsy, Merlin and Roxy heading to America for help from the Statesmen after their headquarters are destroyed.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle opens Sept. 22 and stars Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, Sophie Cookson, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore and Colin Firth.
