FOX has a lot of X-Men movies in the works. One of the most anticipated projects is the New Mutants film.

According to Production Weekly, the film which follows teenagers at Xavier’s School as they learn to control their powers and find a purpose, is using the working title Growing Pains.

Though the studio hasn’t made any official announcements, director Josh Boone has hinted at the possible appearance of Wolfsbane, Cannonball, Danielle Moonstar, Sunspot, Magick and Warlock.

Boone has also teased the story The Demon Bear as an influence. In the book the team comes together to save each other from the bear that killed Moonstar’s family and stalked her.

“It was really dark, interesting…and different from the typical X-Men stories that we had read,” said Boone.

New Mutants begins production this summer in Montreal and is scheduled for release April 13, 2018.
