In the video, you can see Gunji’s lovely baby pink house lined wall to wall with Hello Kitty merchandise of all sorts. Plushies, bento boxes, stationary, motorcycle helmets, kitchenware… The list goes on and on! He has collected all of these items over the course of the past 35 years with the help of his wife. When speaking about why he likes the Sanrio character, he said it was because of her expression. “For some reason when I’m sad, she looks a little bit sad as well and when I am happy, she looks happy,” Gunji says. “Hello Kitty has always cheered me up when I was unhappy.” Masao Gunji, I can honestly say I know how you feel.

Talk about goals, am I right?
