Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? Very soon, she just might be on your computer screen. Paste magazine reports via the Tracking Board that Netflix will soon make a tv series based on Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, a computer game that spawned a live action children’s game show on PBS in the early to mid 1990s, and an animated series in the mid to late 1990s. The new series will be animated as well, and the lead character will be voiced by Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez.

Carmen Sandiego

The computer game and game show were meant to help teach children geography, as Carmen Sandiego was a traveling thief. Netflix has not officially confirmed this news. If it is true, there’s not telling when the series will be released, and Rodriguez has quite a busy schedule this year.

Are you excited for Gina Rodriguez to bring her comedic talent to voice acting? Will you be watching this series when it debuts? Let us know in the comments.
