Calista Flockhart Coming Back to ‘Supergirl’
One of Supergirl’s most popular characters, Cat Grant, has been absent for almost all of season two. However, Kara’s mentor is back in National City when Calista Flockhart returns for the final two episodes of the season.
Flockhart left the series after it moved production to Vancouver. Cat Grant appeared in the first two episodes of the season before heading off to find new adventures.
Cat (Calista Flockhart) will not be happy to learn Kara (Melissa Benoist) has been fired from her reporter job.
As one of the bright spots of the first season producers have been trying to get Flockhart back all season. They just had to work out the scheduling.
This coupled with the news that Kara’s cousin Superman will return for the season finale should make for an interesting finish to the season.
There’s no word on what brings Cat back into Kara’s orbit, however, Supergirl has been battling anti-alien terrorists Cadmus all season and recently became embroiled in a fight with her boyfriend’s mother, Rhea the Queen of Daxam (Teri Hatcher). Basically, she needs all the backup she can get.
Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 pm on The CW.
