Oh, Batman V Superman. How you’re hated so.

So many people still talk about everything they disliked about Warner Bros.’ Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, including the overall gloomy tone of the film.

The dark tone worked at times, but for most of the film, it just wasn’t cutting it for moviegoers. Warner Bros. and DC have apparently been listening to the complaints (either that or they just want to shut everyone up), and they’ve been putting their movies through the cleanser, changing the tone of them all for the better.

Ben Affleck is the source of this info via an interview he recently had with Cineplex. Check out his comments on how Justice League will be different than Batman V Superman:

“Justice League, you probably saw the teaser that came out of Comic-Con; I thought it is nicely emblematic of the kind of minor tone shift and segue in storytelling. It’s a little bit lighter, the characters are a little bit more comfortable in themselves, so they can express a wider array of emotions. And there are just more people in it, so it’s more fun. It’s all of these different characters bumping up against each other and the team dynamic offers a lot of dramatic possibility.”

Ben Affleck mentioning it in an interview pretty much confirms that we’ll be seeing some more laughs, character depth and interaction in Justice League. Anyone who saw the trailer could probably tell that this movie was going to have a different and lighter feel than previous DCEU films, and we only hope they prosper from it. We’ll let you guys know if more news about Justice League hits the web!

Justice League makes it’s way into theaters on November 17th, 2017.
