After the much beloved Netflix Daredevil series came to an end, many fans wondered if Co would reprise his role of Daredevil in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Luckily, this was just the case. After a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home and a guest spot on the MCU’s She-Hulk series, Daredevil will be back in action in his own series once again.
Fans have patiently awaited Daredevil’s on-screen return. A new glimpse of what Daredevil: Born Again is all about can be seen in the brand-new trailer below.
Based on the trailer, it seems that Marvel Television and Disney+ aim to maintain the grittiness that made the first series such a success.
In Daredevil: Born Again, Matt Murdock (Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, fights for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavours in New York. Both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course when their past identities begin to emerge.
The Daredevil: Born Again trailer not only gives us new looks at Daredevil and Fisk but also showcases the return of fan favourites Foggy Nelson (Elden Hendon), Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), and the Punisher (Jon Bernthal).
In addition to Cox, D’Onofrio, Henson, Woll and Bernthal, the series also stars Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, and Ayelet Zurer.
Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd direct episodes of the series. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Gary, Dario Scardapane (who is also the showrunner), Matt Corman, Chris Ord, and Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead serve as executive producers.
