In an announcement made by DC Entertainment, a new launch date for the debut of DC Universe’s Young Justice: Outsiders has been set. Originally set to debut later this year along with the Titans series, the animated Young Justice: Outsiders is now set to launch in 2019. The announcement was made along with the details of how the DC Universe will look in relation to the service’s launch series, comic books, and streaming service.

The return of the series was first announced in 2017 with the last season airing in 2013. Young Justice: Outsiders is described as:

“… the return of the fan favorite animated series with a huge cast of DC’s most iconic young superheroes – plus brand-new characters, many of whom are just discovering their unique meta-powers and special abilities…set against the backdrop of a rich, deep world that touches all corners of the DC universe, the season focuses on meta–trafficking, and an intergalactic arms race for control of these super–powered youths.”

The details as to the reason for the change in schedule are unclear. However, this means that of the original schedule only Titans will be available this year with Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing and the animated Young Justice: Outsiders and Harley Quinn all set to follow suit in 2019.
