The Oscars offered more surprises than just the announcing of winners, or non-winners depending on the category.

One of those surprises came in the form of the trailer premiere of Bright, Will Smith’s latest sci-fi action drama.

Smith stars as a human cop who teams up with the first ever orc on the force to save the world. The film reunites Smith with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer, as well as co-star Joel Edgerton.

Though the trailer doesn’t give away much in terms of plot, it does feature a city under heavy police presence, a magical cave, an elf and Smith wielding a giant sword.

Noomi Rapace, Kenneth Choi and Ike Barinholtz also co-star.

Bright is set to premiere on Netflix in December.
