As we know, Power Rangers wasn’t as successful in the box office as we would’ve like it to be. That puts Lionsgate in the decision whether or not a Power Rangers sequel is worth a try.
However, there is a chance that we might get Power Rangers 2. The very same thing that propelled the franchise in the beginning is what could save it: Toy Sales.
According to a report of Toys News, Power Rangers’ action figures have shown a growth of 122.8 percent year to date, with April sales tracking up 185.9 percent versus 2016.
Another thing that might help set the mind of Lionsgate to make Power Rangers 2 is the response the DVD and the Blu-Ray have among the public.
Nothing is set in stone yet, neither if there’s going to be a sequel nor if it’s out of the table. Only time and money will tell us.
