Netflix continues to build its Marvel TV universe with the previously announced debut of The Defenders Aug. 18.
Now it seems its next hero will make his appearance sometime in November. MCU Exchange has a report that The Punisher will possibly premiere around Thanksgiving.
According to the story one of the show’s director’s, Dearbhla Walsh, told Hollywood Reporter that the episode was set to debut in November.
“One other time that hasn’t been aired yet, which was an episode for the new Marvel series The Punisher, which I did just before Christmas, but it’s not airing until November. I directed that in New York and edited in L.A., but this was my first directing experience in lovely Canada.”

The article goes on to speculate that if this information is true, The Punisher could follow in Jessica Jones’ footsteps and hit screens during the long Thanksgiving weekend, which is perfect binge watching time.
Of course this is all speculation, as there has been no official announcement from Netflix. The streaming service seems focused on The Defenders for the moment and may not go into full promotion mode for Frank Castle until the team has its big debut.
Marvel’s The Punisher stars Jon Bernthal, Deborah Ann Woll, Jason R. Moore, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Michael Nathanson and Jaime Ray Newman.
