As one of the most powerful and popular X-Men, Storm is a major player in all aspects of the Marvel universe.
In addition to her life as a mutant leader, she is also the love interest of T’Challa, King of Wakanda and Black Panther. She has served as Queen of Wakanda at different points in different stories.

Current Black Panther writer Ta-Nehisi Coates might be looking to expand Storm’s story with her own comic series.
Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Dawn Fallik tweeted out that Coates confirmed to her that he was writing a Storm comic with Jen Bartel.

“Just interviewed Ta-Nehisi Coates for The Philadelphia Inquirer and he confirmed that he is writing a Storm solo comic book with Jen Bartel,” Fallik tweeted.
Bartel retweeted Fallik’s tweet with lightning emojis, possibly confirming the news.

Marvel Comics didn’t comment on the report to comicbook.com, but editor-in-chief Axel Alonso teased a solo Storm series at New York Comic Con.
For his part, Coates has also tweeted about collaborating with Bartel.
